Mike Land

Mike Land was born in Nash County, NC and is where he currently resides. He attended Atlantic Christian College majoring in Biology and started teaching in 1975. He taught at Springfield Middle School, Beddingfield High School (27Years) and Greenfield School (16 years). All through those years he was fascinated by PBS and their variety of art shows, but especially Bob Ross and the Joy of Painting. This inspired him to start painting.

In 2012, he went to a Wine and Design class where he states, “My painting looked like Van Gogh's Irises. So, I started painting at home when I felt like it and I have found it to be relaxing and fun. Most of my work is with acrylic because it’s easy to clean up. My subjects can be anything. I try to paint things as easily and beautifully as my skill allows.”
