“A mind is a terrible thing to waste, and so is that thing you’re about to throw away!” – Joy

I suppose it started when my mom tried to toss the old doorknob after it was replaced. As long as I used it, I could keep it, she said, and a crafter was born. My creations have come a long way since the alien marionette I made that day, but the idea has never changed. Start with the old, envision something new, and don’t stop until you get there. My method is best characterized as organized chaos, and my medium odds and ends, all screwed and glued together to create something new. Whether it be old tools, broken electronics, or just some treasures collected on a nature walk, there’s always a creation within them waiting to be discovered. Most of my projects have been made as personal gifts, so I’m excited to have the time and opportunity to join the public art scene!
