Frank Timberlake
Artist Bio
Frank Timberlake has combined photography with digital craftsmanship to achieve a very fine point that begs the viewer of his works to ask, “Is it a photo or a painting?”
After quietly working through the processes for over three years, Timberlake presented his PhoArt® to the region late in 2016 and early 2017. He was asked almost immediately to present a solo, 40-print, six-week exhibit at the MacCallum More Museum & Gardens in Virginia. Simultaneously, another Virginia museum bought two dozen locally focused Timberlake prints. A successful two-month, thirty-five print exhibit near his hometown followed in the next year and a half in Oxford, North Carolina.
Timberlake’s prints are available, signed & numbered in sizes from 14 x 11” to 40 x 60” gallery wrapped on museum quality canvas treated with four coatings of archival museum quality art lacquer, backed with real piano wire, hangers & bumpers. Smooth or textured fine linen prints are available.
Professionally, Timberlake enjoyed an award-winning career as a broadcast journalist, before turning his attentions and his companies towards operating what is now a three-decade, national award-winning advertising and Public Relations firm.
He has served our state on the state parks board, the Natural Resources & Community Development Board, regional transportation committees and commissions and a twelve-year tenure as chairman and vice chairman of the entity that serves as the state agricultural bank and has counseled a half dozen state agriculture commissioners and secretaries in the South.
Timberlake and his business partner and wife, Linda, are ardent supporters of the Helping Hand Mission and the Middlesex Childrens’ Home.
