Andrea Horton-Morton
Artist Bio
Andrea Horton-Morton is an artistic crafter and painter, who works and resides above in her own studio in downtown Wilson. Her love of art began at an early age with her mother as inspiring artist and photographer, but was sidelined by a career in the medical field. Following a family tragedy, she returned to her art for peace and tranquility while she was grieving.
Andrea enjoys painting landscapes, Native American influences of symbols, water scenes and floral abstracts. She is fascinated with texture, often using a pallet knife with oils and other mediums in creating a three dimensional effect, and especially in her new love of resin & alcohol inks. “Oh boy! I create with endless emotion and movement, and a burst of colors,” she says.
Horton-Morton has studied art under: Dwight Mitchell, Maureen O'Neill, Jane Steelman, Susan Fecho, and Martha Beland.
She has her own gallery, Art123 on 123 Barnes St. West in downtown Wilson. It is there you can find her works and at the Carolina Cheese Co. Café also of Wilson, NC.
